I went out for food with a few friends the other night, and just thought I would write a little post.
I forgot to take a picture of my whole outfit!! OOPS
But here is a little bit of my day, I wore a beanie hat from Topshop, a check shirt from H&M, Topshop black skinny jeans, and a plain black long-sleeved top.

We went to the Harvester, which in UK (i'm guessing the whole of the UK, it could be a Welsh thing haha! Let me know) is a restaurant. I love the food there, but saying that I just love food...
The sundaes are AMAZING as you can see, and safe to say we were stuffed by the end.
It was such a lovely evening that I thought I would share it with you.

What did you all do last weekend?
Also if you wanted me to do a winter everyday makeup look, let me know!

I know I've done a quick Instagram post in the past but I want to try and make it a more frequent thing. I really like the posts where it shows 'my week through Instagram', so I am going to start doing them.

Obviously they won't be every week as my life really isn't that exciting. But if you want to see more of my Instagram photos follow me - sophgriff23

I treated myself last week to a pair of Kurt Geiger boots. I have never owned a pair of expensive boots so was so excited to get them. (I will be doing a OOTD with them very soon).

I also booked my girls holiday this week. We are going to Malia!!! I am so excited to get away with the girls as a final goodbye before we go our separate ways in uni.
Hope you like these types of posts. Let me know what you think!

Can anyone believe how fast this year has gone? Cannot believe it is the first of December already!

I know I say this every post but I am so sorry I haven't been blogging a lot lately but if you go to sixth form in the UK you will know how stressful it is! Excitingly, however, I have been offered a place to 4 universities so far!! So that is a load off my mind!

Anyway, this is a quick catchup and NOTD!

So for the catchup! I have been working non-stop recently coming up to Christmas. My work have had my rushed off my feet, not to mention the school work I have to catch up on. However, I am really excited for Christmas (hence the festive nails). I am near enough finished with my Christmas shopping, just need to find the odd bits and bobs now! I will be doing a post on what I have got people for Christmas, since none of my family or friends know about my blog haha.

So for my nails. These are my natural nails, so please excuse them! Hopefully I will have some fake ones on closer to Christmas. So, I had this Orly nail vanish free in my Cosmo magazine. I really love this colour because it is so festive but is still subtle. I am really into glitter nail vanish this time of year as it brings an exta something to the look. This nail vanish is quite thin but not the worst I've seen, so I have applied 2 coats to achieve this look. The colour is called hair band and is really wearable. I have topped my nails off with the Seche Vite top coat. I had heard so many reviews about this top coat and didn't really understand the hype over a top coat. After I had tried it I could completely understand. It gives your nails the nicest effect! It looks like you have gel nail polish on. It dries super fast and leaves a glossy finish. Highly recommend.

Hope you guys are all doing well and I'll catch up with you soon!

Just thought I would fill you in with what I've been doing lately!

Basically I have been working with an amazing makeup artist names Jess Carmell. She has recently started her own makeup brand called Amorio cosmetics. I absolutely love the products and thought I could share them with you as they are amazing quality and such a reasonable price. (You can read all about her on her website amoriocosmetics.co.uk). She honestly has no idea I am writing this post, but her products are amazing and since this is a beauty channel I thought I would tell you a little a bit about her.

Anyway, I have been doing some work with her because we are working with another website named Women-Scorned, which helps women who have been cheated on/had a divorce get the help and support they need. (Again, they have not asked me to write this, I just thought I would mention what I have been doing for them). Their website is http://women-scorned.co.uk/ if you are interested.

Enough rambling, back to my main point!! I have been doing a lot of work with Women-Scorned and Jess Carmell in doing makeup tutorials for women who want to get back out on the dating scene. So I thought I would share this with you as the makeup tutorials are really good and worth watching.

Jess did my makeup in the picture above but as you can see it was taken a while ago, before I had my eyebrows done (embarrassing!). She did such a nice job of my makeup that we filmed it! It hasn't been uploaded yet so if you are interested in the look, stay tuned.

Anyway, just a little update into what I have been up to! Hope I didn't ramble on too much, just wanted you all to understand what  I have been doing.

LITTLE NOTE : I am not the best model for the video, I was just helping her out! haha.
Also if you want to see a brow tutorial just let me know, BUT my eyebrows were not the best canvas for the video, haha!!

Since I dyed my hair a lilac colour, I have been loving a purple smokey eye for the Autumn/Winter.

You could have probably guess that I am a huge fan of the berry trend this year and cannot leave the house without a purple or red lip.

For this look I didn't want both a heavy eye with a heavy lip, as it is for an everyday look. This is why I just dabbed on a bit of Revlon lipstick in Viva la Violet onto my lips for a bit of colour. ( I realise my looks look a bit dry but I did apply some lip balm after this photo was taken).

In this look I did my normal makeup routine but added a plum coloured blush to make the whole look match.

I recently purchased this palette from ELF, and I absolutely love it. It is such good value for money at £15 for 100 colours!! It has a varied amount of matte shadows and shimmers and the pigment of them are really good. The only issue I have found is the fall-out of the eyeshadows is quite a lot, but I just go over my under eyes with concealer and powder and it isn't an issue.

The colours of the palette don't have names, so I have swatched them to reflect the colours.

To start off I used the matte white eyeshadow in the palette across the whole lid as a base. The white is really pigmented in this palette and creates a good base for other eyeshadows.

To create the purple eyelid, I used this shimmery plum coloured eyeshadow onto the outer corners of my eye and worked it into the crease and into the middle of the eye with the ELF blending brush.

To intensify the eye, I used this shimmery purple colour onto the outer corners of the eye to create a purple smokey eye effect.

To define the crease even futher and to make the eye more smokey and defined I used the matte brown eyeshadow in the palette and blended that really well into the crease.

And that is literally it! It is so quick and easy and I have been wearing it everyday.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post and has given you some ideas of how to bring some autumnal colours into your everyday makeup!

This is such a simple outfit but I think it looks really classy!
I wore this blouse from H&M and I really love he detailing on the collar and sleeve (as seen below). I love the feel of this blouse! It is so floaty and comfy! So easy to style. I paired the blouse with a pair of Newlook blue jeans.

As for jewellery I wore my Fossil rose gold watch, my Tiffany and Pandora silver bracelets.

I have also dyed my hair since my last post. I have dyed it a lilac/grey colour and I really love it. It is something a bit different because I was so bored of my hair before.

As I was going out, I threw on this Warehouse cape to keep my warm. I also really love this cape as it keeps me warm and is so easy to pair with anything.

I feel like I haven't been a very good blogger lately! I've been so busy with school stuff, uni open days and all sorts of things like that! So sorry!!

I wanted to do a quick OOTD/what's on my face. I am really into black and white as you know and also really into simplistic outfits. This is why I wore just plain black leggings with a black dress/top.

I bought the top/dress in the River Island sale that is going on at the moment! And I absolutely love it! So easy to style and with and I love the gold detailing that is on the neckline. I just have on plain black leggings which I don't know where are from but you can pick them up anywhere! My newest purchase has been this cape from warehouse. It is so cosy and warm that I can wear it with everything! It was £30 but I feel like I am going to get a lot of wear out of it! I wore on my feet some knee high boots that I stole from my mum haha!

Thought id also do a what's on my face. I started out with Calvin Klein foundation which I really love and wear all the time! I then did my usual contour and blush which you can find in a previous post on what products I used. I then created a goldy brown smokey eye using Calvin Klein cream eyeshadow in a gold colour and using a medium brown eyeshadow in the crease. On my lips I wore Mac's lip liner in Vino and a Revlon lipstick in va va violet. I love this colour for an autumn berry look!

Let me know if you enjoy posts like these and what you would like to see in the future!

Also let me know what look you are prefering this autumn? Berry or nudes?

I really liked the makeup look that went along with this. I wore a simple face with a heavier brow from my HD palette and a red lip! Thought the red really complemented the monochrome outfit!

Hope you all had a good weekend,
Love Sophie xxx
